FAIRBAIRN WATER QUALITY LAB:
This fountain and bench installation was designed for the Fairbairn Water Quality Laboratory in Sacramento, CA. It was a public art project commissioned by the Metropolitan Arts Commission. PUBLIC ART ARCHIVE NOTES:
The art adorns 100 feet of low walls at the entrance to the building. An additional large mural is on the fountain wall. The subjects are the fish in the American River bordering Fairbairn and the animal life most of which still exists around the river.
MATERIAL NOTES:
The tiles are sculpted, glazed and fired clay.
